The Village

What is The Village?

The Village is a co-created, in-person community meeting weekly on private bushland in Tomerong.

We gather in 6-week seasonal cycles throughout the year, with restful breaks in between to allow for integration, reflection, and space.

Each cycle weaves together connection, nature-based play and learning, mentoring, storytelling, and authentic relationship, bridging the pace of the modern world with a deeper, slower way of being.

It’s a space for children to be wild and free and for adults to be nourished, supported, and seen.

Who can join The Village?

Open to children and adults of all ages, The Village embraces everyone - kin and kindred walking alongside one another with a vision for a compassionate and healthy world.

How does it work?

Your time, presence, care, and unique gifts are part of what makes this community thrive.

You might feel called to contribute to The Village in a variety of ways, including:

  • Arriving early to help set up or tend the fire

  • Bringing nourishing food to share

  • Offering your skills, story, or steady presence

  • Supporting children’s activities

  • Stepping into mentoring or leadership roles (some criteria apply)

  • Helping with practical jobs like chopping wood or maintenance

Whatever your energetic contribution, it is welcomed with deep gratitude. And it’s understood that your capacity may change with the seasons. This is part of the rhythm of Village life.

Financial Contribution

Each family contributes a small amount financially each season to sustain the practical foundations of The Village. This supports the essential elements that create a strong and steady container and ensures each gathering runs smoothly and safely. Some of the behind-the-scenes layers supported by these contributions include admin, insurance, registrations, infrastructure, land care, and maintenance.

For the equivalent of $11 an hour, your family is held in a gentle, welcoming space where connection can deepen, growth is nurtured, and a sense of true belonging is given room to unfold.

Additional Seasonal Celebration

An additional seasonal celebration at the close of each cycle is our gift to you - offered with love as part of the journey.

Is financial support available?

If affordability feels like a stretch for your family right now, please don’t hesitate to reach out. The Village is rooted in care and community, and there’s a place here for you - no matter your financial circumstances.

How can I support another family to join?

If you are in a position to do so, we warmly invite you to contribute toward supporting another family who may be less fortunate. By adding this option when booking, you help open the door for others - making a real difference and expanding the circle of access, care, and connection.

If this sounds like the community you have been yearning for, you are invited to join the WAIT LIST to receive updates and more information for upcoming seasonal cycles of The Village

The Winter/Spring Cycle of The Village begins 7th August

Acknowledgement

With deep gratitude and respect, I offer my acknowledgement of the original people of Yuin Country - custodians of the lands, waters and skies where I live, learn, and offer my in-person work. I give thanks to the ancestors who came before us, the Elders who walk with us now, and those yet to come. I honour your deep and enduring connection to Country, your sovereignty, your stories, and the ancient wisdom that continues to be carried and shared.

I extend this acknowledgement to all First Nations peoples across this continent and beyond, and to the ancestors and wisdom keepers of our own personal lineages. Each thread holds teachings that guide us back to wholeness - to right relationship with Mother Earth, with others, and with the greater web of life.

May we listen deeply. May we walk with humility. May we remember that we are always connected.
