The Mentoring Journey

A two-hour live online workshop for those called to walk alongside others with presence, care, and integrity.

A different way of guiding and teaching

You know the conventional way isn’t working.

Whether it's parenting, teaching, or leading - what's been sold as “normal” feels more like damage control. Box-ticking. Outcome-chasing. Pressure from the top-down.

Kids are anxious, adults are exhausted, and the spark of real learning is nowhere to be seen.

You’re frustrated by a system that strips away curiosity, connection, and creativity. One that expects compliance instead of relationship - and burns people out in the process.

You’re ready for something else. A way that’s more relational, empowering and honest. Where space is held, not controlled. Where trust is built slowly and felt deeply. Where guidance is offered with presence, not pressure.

And where real learning begins with connection - not performance.

This is the way of the Mentor.

If you’ve felt that quiet pull toward doing things differently - this workshop is a place to begin learning simple, powerful ways to build trust, hold space, and support growth without force or control - a threshold into a more connected way of guiding, parenting, teaching, or leading.

ANGUS HUARD

School Principal

William Campbell College

As Principal of William Campbell College - a special assistance school for students facing challenges in mainstream education - I engaged Suzi to mentor our staff in developing a Bush Play Program. Initially uncertain, I appreciated that her training focused on personal growth over programming. Through storytelling and shared experiences, Suzi gently encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone. I’ve come to see bush play as more about being than doing. I am learning to be more present, walk beside others, and truly listen. The experience has been excellent, and I’m eager to continue learning.

After more than 30 years working with children, families, and young people, I’ve seen one thing clearly: The most impactful guides are those who listen well, build trust slowly, and show up consistently.

They don’t rush the process. They meet people where they are and walk alongside them.

Where a teacher might instruct, a mentor invites.
Where a teacher might stick to a plan, a mentor pays attention.
Where a teacher might deliver content, a mentor makes space for real discovery.

Mentoring isn’t a method. It’s a way of being - relational, responsive, and rooted in connection.

If you are ready to shift from delivering information to nurturing impactful learning - This workshop is your invitation to begin gathering the threads.

I met Suzi at the beginning of Earthside Explorers, and her teachings around childhood, nature, and connection resonated deeply. My family joined her programs for over two years, and I watched children relax, become curious and independent. I watched parents slowly shed old conditioning and lean into Suzi’s presence, her teachings, and the space she created. Suzi is the breathing example of radical acceptance. She guides you gently, firmly, to trust your own knowing. I miss her unwavering ability to look into my soul and reflect back pure acceptance and understanding. Her teachings continue to shape how I parent.

Why I'm equipped to guide this journey

For over 30 years, I’ve been working closely with children, families, and educators - not just in theory, but on the ground, in real-time, with real people. From early childhood centres to forest schools, classrooms to community circles, I’ve supported and guided countless individuals through the messy, beautiful work of learning, growing, and connecting.

In early childhood alone, I’ve nurtured the development of thousands of children through consistent, relational presence. I’ve mentored hundreds of educators as a Teacher, Educational Leader, and Childcare Centre Director, helping to shape environments where both children and adults are able to thrive.

I’ve taught in schools and walked alongside hundreds of parents as they navigate the wild terrain of raising children in a consciously connected way.

For the last 5 years I've been immersed in rewilding, nature connection, and earth-based culture - building and leading a nature-based mentoring community from the ground up, and weaving these threads into every layer of my practice.

This isn’t just what I do, it’s how I live.

I bring decades of lived experience, a grounded presence, and a fierce belief in the power of connection to every space I hold.

If you’re ready to question the old models, lead with trust, and return to a more human way of guiding - I’m here to walk alongside you.

Ready to begin?

Join me on this intimate journey to gather the threads of mentoring and begin weaving a path of heartfelt guidance and connection.

Spaces are limited to keep the experience personal and nurturing.

With deep gratitude and respect, I offer my acknowledgement of the original people of Yuin Country - custodians of the lands, waters and skies where I live, learn, and offer my in-person work. I give thanks to the ancestors who came before us, the Elders who walk with us now, and those yet to come. I honour your deep and enduring connection to Country, your sovereignty, your stories, and the ancient wisdom that continues to be carried and shared.

I extend this acknowledgement to all First Nations peoples across this continent and beyond, and to the ancestors and wisdom keepers of our own personal lineages. Each thread holds teachings that guide us back to wholeness - to right relationship with Mother Earth, with others, and with the greater web of life.
