Mentoring with Nature

A Pathway to Connection

DATES: 10 - 12 OCTOBER 2025
South Coast NSW

Step Into Something Deeper

You’re doing all the things.

You care deeply and are holding it all together - for your family, your work, your community.

But underneath it all, you’re exhausted. Disconnected.

You're longing for space to breathe, to reconnect, to remember who you are outside the expectations and urgency.

This 3-day in-person immersion is designed for those navigating the beautiful and relentless call of caregiving, leadership, and soul-led work. It’s a chance to exhale the pressure, and inhale the medicine of nature, community, and deep presence.

Through embodied mentoring practices, wild awareness skills, and nature connection routines, you’ll begin to reweave your sense of belonging - to the Earth, to others, and to yourself.

As you reconnect and nourish yourself over this weekend, the benefits begin to ripple outward - nurturing your family, strengthening your relationships, enriching your community connections, and renewing your work and creativity. Taking this time for yourself isn't just self-care; it’s a gift that transforms everything you care about.

And you won’t do it alone. You’ll be held in a small, intimate group of like-hearted people - gathered not to perform or prove anything, but to be real, present, and human together.

This isn’t just a weekend immersion. It’s a turning point. A remembering. A return.

If you've been longing for something more - more real, more aligned, more alive - this is your opportunity to discover what’s possible.

Leanne Hoogwerf
"I met Suzi at a time when I was completely overwhelmed in early motherhood, and her gentle guidance changed everything. Her wisdom around nature play, risky play, and deep connection has shaped not only the way I parent, but the kind of humans my kids are becoming. They’re capable, confident, and grounded and so am I - as their mum."

If You're Ready To:

  • Deepen your sense of belonging and community
  • Cultivate relationships that make a lasting impact
  • Be inspired by the wisdom of nature
  • Reignite joy, creativity, and wonder
  • Awaken a new way of showing up in your work and life
If you’ve felt a quiet pull toward doing things differently - this weekend immersion is a natural next step on your path. It moves beyond the introduction to mentoring and begins to gently delve into the personal work of healing, connection, and transformation that is essential to mentoring well.

You’ll explore how to show up in healthy and grounded ways for your family, your community, and those you work with. Learning simple, powerful practices to build trust, hold space, and support growth without force or control.

Mentoring with Nature invites you to step through this threshold into a deeper, more connected way of guiding, parenting, teaching, or leading - one that flows from presence, care, and authentic connection.

ANGUS HUARD

School Principal

William Campbell College

As Principal of William Campbell College - a special assistance school for students facing challenges in mainstream education - I engaged Suzi to mentor our staff in developing a Bush Play Program. Initially uncertain, I appreciated that her training focused on personal growth over programming. Through storytelling and shared experiences, Suzi gently encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone. I’ve come to see bush play as more about being than doing. I am learning to be more present, walk beside others, and truly listen. The experience has been excellent, and I’m eager to continue learning.

This is more than a program.
It’s a doorway back to connection - to yourself, to community, and to the Earth.

What We'll Explore

This weekend immersion is a rich tapestry of learning, reflection, and direct experience.

Over three immersive days together, we’ll dive into nature-based practices, relational frameworks, and embodied ways of learning that invite presence, deepen awareness, and support connection.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • The distinctions between teaching, leading, and mentoring - and why they matter

  • Relationship-centred ways of guiding growth and supporting others

  • The art of storytelling as a bridge for empathy, wisdom, and belonging

  • Foundational nature connection routines that heighten sensory awareness and attunement

  • Simple earth-based skills and wild games that nurture confidence and curiosity

  • Values-based leadership grounded in care, integrity, and presence

  • Cultural repair through nature-aligned, regenerative ways of living and relating

  • Practical considerations for safely and thoughtfully adapting nature-based experiences to your own context

You’ll also be nourished by time for rest, reflection, ceremony, and shared presence - offering space to slow down, integrate, and reconnect with what matters most.

Who is this for?

This immersion is for those who feel called to move beyond the surface and begin stripping back the layers - to shed old roles and return to the raw, real work of connection, presence, and change.

You might be:

  • A parent who wants to build stronger, more connected relationships with your family

  • An educator or facilitator feeling the constraints of traditional systems and seeking a more human, heart-centred approach

  • An outdoor leader, forest school practitioner, or nature-play guide wanting to deepen your mentoring skills and relational presence

  • A changemaker, community builder, or soul-led leader ready to lead from a place of alignment, authenticity, and care

  • Or someone simply feeling the call to reconnect - with yourself, with others, and with the Earth

You don’t need experience in mentoring or outdoor education - just a willingness to show up honestly, listen deeply, and be open to new perspectives and the possibility of meaningful change within yourself and your life.

Our Bushland Home for the Weekend

This immersion takes place on a beautiful, private bushland property near Huskisson, in the Jervis Bay region on the South Coast of NSW.

Nestled between forest and sea, the land offers a quiet, spacious setting for reconnection and reflection. With open sky, and the soundtrack of birdsong and breeze through the trees, this space invites you to slow down and tune in.

We’ll gather around the fire, share meals under the stars, and spend our days immersed in nature’s rhythms - supported by simple, self-sufficient camping and a shared undercover space for gathering.

Getting there:
The venue is approximately 2.5 to 3 hours’ drive south of Sydney.
The nearest train station is Bomaderry (Nowra), which is around 30 minutes from the site by car.

We’ll help coordinate carpooling and local transfers closer to the time, so don’t worry if you’re travelling without a vehicle - you won’t be left behind.

"Working alongside Suzi as a mentor in her Bush School has been an honour. I’ve never experienced a space so deeply anchored in purity and purpose - where the natural rhythms of life, children, mentors, and the business itself are genuinely respected and at the heart of every decision.
This environment allowed for deep acceptance and personal transformation. Suzi leads with compassion, clarity, and kindness, gently mentoring us all.
It’s been a powerful experience, and I genuinely recommend stepping into this work with her if you feel the call."

A Guide Who’s Walked This Path

My journey into mentoring began on the ground - hands in the soil, feet in the bush, heart wide open to the complex, beautiful work of being in relationship with children, families, and communities.

Over the past 30 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of education, parenting, nature connection, and personal growth. I’ve been a teacher, an educational leader, a centre director, and a forest school facilitator. I’ve walked alongside thousands of children, educators, and parents through the real, messy, transformative moments that shape how we learn, relate, and grow.

I’ve supported educators on the edge of burnout, and parents questioning the dominant narratives of control and achievement. I’ve helped create learning environments where people feel seen, safe, and empowered to show up as they are.

In the past five years, my work has deepened through rewilding, earth-based skills, and regenerative cultural practice - founding and leading a nature-based mentoring community anchored in connection, culture repair, and embodied leadership.

But this path isn’t just professional - it’s personal. It’s been shaped by seasons of reckoning, healing, and returning to myself. Every insight I share, every tool I offer, has been tested in the fire of real life.

What I bring to this immersion is not just training or expertise, but decades of lived experience. A steady, grounded presence. Practical tools. And a fierce commitment to clarity, compassion, and integrity - so that you feel deeply held, adequately resourced, and well supported as you step onto your own path of becoming.

Limited Places Available

An intimate offering with intentionally limited capacity to allow for depth, connection, and personalised support, this immersive experience is only available once a year.

If you feel called to join, secure your place now and step confidently into this unique opportunity.

Location

All in-person programs are held on private bushland on the South Coast NSW. Approximately 3 hours south of Sydney.

Acknowledgement

With deep gratitude and respect, I offer my acknowledgement of the original people of Yuin Country - custodians of the lands, waters and skies where I live, learn, and offer my in-person work. I give thanks to the ancestors who came before us, the Elders who walk with us now, and those yet to come. I honour your deep and enduring connection to Country, your sovereignty, your stories, and the ancient wisdom that continues to be carried and shared.

I extend this acknowledgement to all First Nations peoples across this continent and beyond, and to the ancestors and wisdom keepers of our own personal lineages. Each thread holds teachings that guide us back to wholeness - to right relationship with Mother Earth, with others, and with the greater web of life.

May we listen deeply. May we walk with humility. May we remember that we are always connected.
