The Village

A living, breathing community co-created by families - held in care, with trust, by nature.

What is The Village?

Describing The Village is like trying to describe a sunset - words can hint at it, but the real experience is felt in your bones.

At its heart, The Village is an evolving community where people of all ages gather on the land to slow down, share stories, and reconnect - with nature, each other, and a deeper sense of belonging.

It offers something our modern world has forgotten - a remembering each person will meet in their own way.

Shaped by presence, co-creation, and the gentle power of collective resonance - The Village is a space where something greater than the sum of its parts begins to stir.

"As we arrived at The Village on a Winter's morning, there was a brilliant fire warming the families that had gathered. Others sat together listening to a guitar being beautifully played, women weaving with natural fibres, leaf art being created, kids playing and expressing themselves vibrantly, and the sun was shining happily over us all.

I can't imagine life without The Village ~ Our Village.

In one sense it's so new, but also as old as my very bones."

Sharon

How does it work?

The Village is a co-created community - welcoming babies to elders, and everyone in between.

The Village Tribe gathers on private bushland for 4 hours each Thursday, moving through 6-week seasonal cycles that close with an additional shared weekend celebration.

Each session unfolds within a held container, beginning with an opening circle, songs, and stories around the fire.

What follows emerges from the interests and offerings of those who are present - seasonal crafts, weaving, fire-making, damper, creek adventures, yoga, or simply engaging in deep relaxed conversations. Everyone participates in their own way, meeting their own edges, learning from and with each other.

You’re invited to contribute as you can - tending the fire, sharing food, offering a skill or story, supporting children, bringing resources, or helping with practical tasks. Every contribution is valued and it is acknowledged that your

capacity will change with the seasons. That’s part of Village life.

Financial Contribution

Each family contributes a modest seasonal fee to support the practical foundations that hold The Village. This helps tend to the behind-the-scenes elements that keep gatherings safe and flowing – including admin, insurance, ongoing maintenance and caring for the land.

While the financial contribution is small, the value runs deep. Your whole family is welcomed into a steady, nourishing space where connection can deepen, growth is nurtured, and a true sense of belonging is given room to unfold.

If the financial contribution feels out of reach, you're invited to start a conversation. Flexible options may be available that honour both your individual circumstances and the collective sustainability of this shared space.

And if you're in a position to offer more, your support through our Pay it Forward option is warmly welcomed. By contributing a little extra at the time of booking, you’re expanding the circle of care - helping another family feel seen, supported, and part of something meaningful.

Frequently Asked Questions

People often have questions about The Village. I’ve answered some of the most common ones below, but if there’s something you’re still wondering about, please reach out. It’s important to me that you feel clear, informed, and confident that this is the right fit before stepping in.

Is The Village a Nature Playgroup?

The Village is NOT a nature playgroup,  a bush school, or a casual meet-up space, It's a consistent, supported intergenerational community. While nature-based play is part of the experience, it’s woven into a deeper offering of connection, shared learning, and co-creation among people of all ages. It’s not a program - it’s a way of being together.

Who is it for?

The Village is open to people of all ages - children, adults, elders - who crave connection to self, to land, and to each other. You don’t need to have children of your own to be part of it; what matters is a willingness to show up with curiosity, care, and presence. It's for those who are ready to slow down, unplug, and step into a more empowered way of living. Together, we’re weaving a vision for a more connected, compassionate, and life-affirming world.

What are seasonal cycles?

The Village offering is based on seasonal cycles. Each cycle is six weeks long, with weekly gatherings on Thursdays. Each cycle ends with a Saturday celebration inspired by traditional ceremonies and the rhythms of the local seasons. These gatherings honour our connection to the natural world and, for many, reflect ancestral traditions - offering a way to remember, reconnect, and mark time meaningfully together.

How much does it cost, and what if I miss a week?

Each seasonal cycle is $264 per family ($132 for a single person) and includes six weekly sessions plus a seasonal celebration - 7 sessions in total.

While consistent attendance is encouraged, things sometimes come up. If you miss a session, the space will still be here, holding steady. To support the sustainability of this offering and honour our shared commitment there are no refunds or exchanges for missed sessions.

Who does a 'Family' registration cover?

We deeply value the many shapes and expressions that families can take - and we also need to set clear guidelines so this community can remain sustainable.

A Family Ticket covers one immediate family unit - typically up to two adults and their immediate children. It may also include a grandparent or an aunt/uncle who plays a regular caregiving role.

It doesn’t cover multiple family groups, so if you're attending with relatives or friends who have their own children, they’ll need to book separately.

We understand that families can take many forms, and we’re open to discussing genuine special circumstances - including visiting family members or non-traditional caregiving arrangements. If this applies to you, please reach out before booking so we can work out what’s fair and workable for everyone.

We trust you'll honour the spirit of this offering and help us keep The Village accessible, fair, and thriving for all.

Is financial support available?

Yes. If affordability feels like a stretch for your family right now, please don’t hesitate to reach out. The Village is grounded in care, connection, and belonging - and there is always space here for you. I am committed to making this experience accessible, no matter your financial situation.

How can I support others to join?

If you’re in a position to give a little extra, we warmly welcome your support in helping another family join us. By choosing the ‘Pay it Forward’ option at booking, you’re expanding the circle of care and opening the door for someone else to feel seen, supported, and part of something meaningful.

Do I rebook for each seasonal cycle?

Yes. Each 6-week cycle is self-contained and booked separately - there’s no ongoing membership or long-term commitment. You can join any cycle that suits your timing and capacity, with no need to have attended previous ones. Rebook as it feels right for you.

How often do the cycles run?

Each cycle runs for 6 weeks and ends with a seasonal celebration.

“There was a void in our weeks without this community around us during the break. Coming back was wholesome - and what touches me most is that the gifts of this space linger as we return home.
The joy, peace, love, and belonging are amplified. I feel it in myself, and I witness it in my family.

Thank you for creating a space where a village like this can exist.”

Acknowledgement

With deep gratitude and respect, I offer my acknowledgement of the original people of Yuin Country - custodians of the lands, waters and skies where I live, learn, and offer my in-person work. I give thanks to the ancestors who came before us, the Elders who walk with us now, and those yet to come. I honour your deep and enduring connection to Country, your sovereignty, your stories, and the ancient wisdom that continues to be carried and shared.

I extend this acknowledgement to all First Nations peoples across this continent and beyond, and to the ancestors and wisdom keepers of our own personal lineages. Each thread holds teachings that guide us back to wholeness - to right relationship with Mother Earth, with others, and with the greater web of life.

May we listen deeply. May we walk with humility. May we remember that we are always connected.
